Large bandanna shape with elongated ends to be worn around the head with length to wrap around in both directions securely. Using a plated technique, I knit these to have two technical fronts. The main body made of alpaca and wool and the other face of the scarf of mohair and silk. The alpaca and wool provides warmth and keeps in heat while the mohair and silk (unless otherwise specified but can be requested un-brushed) is soft and -of course literally silky. It is then brushed after knitting to give it that halo effect and texture. Un-like mohair which has more of a hairy fuzzy texture when brushed out on its own the base of the silk with the mohair instead creates an elevated but similar effect that gives it the ethereal “glow”. Any color is possible and base yarn substitutions may be made just note your request in the custom form at purchase! <3

Half alpaca, half luxury 60/40 blend of mohair and silk. Knitted with a plated technique that keeps the mohair on the back side of the work the whole time. This allows the piece to be reversible. The technical back is unbrushed mohair facing for a soft touch on the skin; the technical front, or outside, is alpaca facing, but brushed, so the mohair lightly comes through to create an airy, not fuzzy, look when brushing mohair directly.
